29日下午,“丝路青年与中非合作行动”丝路大讲堂在京举办。来自塞拉利昂、赞比亚、坦桑尼亚、加纳、肯尼亚、尼日利亚、埃塞俄比亚等20多个国家的200多名青年参加。
本次活动由丝路国际智库主办,丝路青年论坛国际部负责人Ms. Dahlia A. Ducreay主持。
丝路青年论坛副主席兼秘书长杨东平在致辞中表示,欢迎非洲各国青年在丝路大讲堂相聚,共同探讨“丝路青年与中非合作行动”这个重要话题,分享经验,鼓励更多年轻人投身于中非合作的伟大事业中。
他指出,我们应充分认识青年在中非合作中的角色与使命。青年不仅是中非合作的受益者,更应该是中非合作的参与者和推动者。他强调青年应从三个方面积极投身于中非合作,一是积极参与中非合作项目,包括基础设施建设、农业技术推广、教育和健康事业交流,青年朋友都可以发挥自己的专业优势,有所作为;二是加强文化交流互鉴,青年朋友可以通过各种形式增进彼此的了解和友谊,促进文化的多样性和包容性;三是努力提升自身的能力和素质,通过学习和实践,增强竞争力,为中非合作的长远发展打下坚实的基础。为构建中非命运共同体贡献青春和智慧。
塞拉利昂驻中国大使馆副大使Saffa-Woya Rogers在致辞中表示,今天的丝路大讲堂是一次富有洞察力的活动,为我们提供了一个独特的机会,学习中非合作论坛峰会的成果,将这些成果落到实处,造福非洲青年。他从青年就业与技能培训、文化交流与合作、青年发展与合作项目三个方面,阐述了非洲青年的机遇。他热情洋溢地表示:非洲和中国的青年正站在一个新时代的前沿——一个以创新、互学互鉴和共同价值观为推动力的发展时代。
维也纳大学非洲研究教授亚当斯·博多莫通过视频发表主题为“走向非洲高地:十项现代化合作行动及北京计划(2025-2027)对非洲青年发展的影响”的主旨演讲,强调非洲青年在改变大陆经济和社会面貌方面发挥主导作用的必要性。深刻阐述了中非合作为非洲发展带来的深远影响,为非洲青年的发展成长带来的诸多机会。
北京工商大学商学院国际交流与认证办公室主管陈醒一在演讲中阐述了中非大学的合作与机会,分析了如何运用中非合作论坛成果提升非洲留学生在华的发展机遇。
北京博立卡帕科技有限公司总裁、尼日利亚医生 Idorenyin Asuquo医生 在演讲中从科技创新的层面,阐述了中非合作为非洲青年创造的机遇。
来自埃及的对外经济贸易大学博士生Sarah Khattab 以“中非合作对埃及青年创业的推动力”为题,畅谈了中非合作对埃及青年的影响和经验。
演讲结束后,举行了丝路青年对话,在清华大学国际关系博士生、非洲青年经贸合作亚非事务秘书长丹尼斯的主持下,围绕“未来之桥:通过落实FOCAC成果赋能青年,推动可持续的中非合作”主题,中国塞拉利昂学生联合会代表约翰·艾伯特·桑科、赞比亚驻华学生协会代表托维扎·查德、北京肯尼亚学生协会代表阿尔丽娜·怀坦吉、加纳全国学生联合会代表大卫·奥波库·奥塞、北京工商大学非洲留学生代表哈里沃拉·坎托索阿·拉比阿拉希分别畅谈了中非合作的成果和实践体会。
在互动环节,与会青年们争相提出问题,与台上各位代表进行交流,气氛热烈,掌声不断。
在青年对话结束后,丝路青年论坛秘书处罗靖以丝路青年论坛与塞拉立昂互动为例,分享了对中非合作论坛峰会成果的理解,充满激情地展望了青年在共建中非命运共同体中的广阔天地和美好未来。
最后,Ms. Dahlia A. Ducreay对本次活动进行了总结和感谢发言。她表示,本次大讲堂旨在为在中国的非洲青年提供一个交流与分享的平台,进一步深化他们对中非合作框架的理解。同时感谢所有人积极参与和大力支持,Ms. Ducreay以一句非洲谚语作为结束语:“如果你想走得快,就一个人走;如果你想走得远,就一起走”,以此来强调团结和共同努力在推动中非合作愿景中的重要性。

The "Silk Road Youth and China-Africa Cooperation Initiative" Silk Road Lecture Held in Beijing
On the afternoon of the 29th, the "Silk Road Youth and China-Africa Cooperation Initiative" Silk Road Lecture was held in Beijing. More than 200 young people from over 20 countries, including Sierra Leone, Zambia, Tanzania, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Ethiopia, participated in the event.
This Silk Road Lecture Hall was organized by the Silk Road International Think Tank Exchange Center and hosted by Ms. Dahlia A. Ducreay, Head of the International Department at the Silk Road Youth Forum.
In his opening speech, Yang Dongping, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Silk Road Youth Forum, warmly welcomed young people from various African countries to gather at the Silk Road Lecture to discuss the important topic of the "Silk Road Youth and China-Africa Cooperation Initiative," share their experiences, and encourage more young people to engage in the great cause of China-Africa cooperation.
He pointed out that we should fully recognize the role and mission of youth in China-Africa cooperation. Youth are not only beneficiaries of China-Africa cooperation but also participants and promoters. He emphasized that young people should actively contribute to China-Africa cooperation in three main areas: first, by participating in China-Africa cooperation projects, including infrastructure development, agricultural technology promotion, education, and health exchanges, where they can leverage their professional expertise to make a difference; second, by strengthening cultural exchanges and mutual learning, using various forms to deepen understanding and friendship, and promote cultural diversity and inclusiveness; third, by striving to enhance their own abilities and competencies through learning and practice, thereby strengthening their competitiveness and laying a solid foundation for the long-term development of China-Africa cooperation. In this way, youth can contribute their energy and wisdom to the building of a China-Africa community with a shared future.
In his address, Saffa-Woya Rogers, Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of Sierra Leone in China, stated that today’s Silk Road Lecture is an insightful event that provides us with a unique opportunity to study and implement the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, benefiting African youth. He elaborated on the opportunities available to African youth in terms of employment and skills training, cultural exchange and cooperation, and youth development and cooperation projects. With great enthusiasm, he said: "African and Chinese youth are standing at the forefront of a new era—an era driven by innovation, mutual learning, and shared values."
Professor Adams Bodomo, an African Studies Professor at the University of Vienna, delivered a keynote speech via video titled "Taking Africa Up The Knoll: The Impact of the 10 Cooperation Actions for Modernization and the Beijing Plan (2025 – 2027) On African Youth Development." He emphasized the necessity of African youth to play a leading role in transforming the continent's economic and social landscape. He elaborated on the profound impact of China-Africa cooperation on Africa's development and the numerous opportunities it brings for the growth of African youth.
Chen Xingyi, Project Manager of International Communication and Accreditation at the Business School of Beijing Technology and Business University, discussed the cooperation and opportunities between Chinese and African universities, and analyzed how to utilize the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to enhance the development opportunities of African students in China.
Dr.Idorenyin Asuquo, President of Carpa Technology Co., Ltd., and a Nigerian doctor, shared his views on the opportunities created for African youth through China-Africa cooperation from the perspective of technological innovation.
Sarah Khattab, a PhD student at the University of International Business and Economics from Egypt, gave a speech titled "The Driving Force of China-Africa Cooperation for Egyptian Youth Entrepreneurship," discussing the influence and experiences of China-Africa cooperation on Egyptian youth.
After the speeches, a Silk Road Youth Dialogue was held. Moderated by Mr.Dennis Bai Zinnah, Jr, a PhD student in International Relations at Tsinghua University and General-Secretary for Asia-Africa Affairs at the Economic and Trade Cooperation of African Youth, the dialogue revolved around the theme of “Bridge to the Future: Empowering Youth and Promoting Sustainable China-Africa Cooperation through Implementing FOCAC Outcomes.” Representatives shared their experiences and practical insights into China-Africa cooperation: John Albert Sanko from the Sierra Leone Students’ Union in China (SLSUC), Twiza Chard from the Zambian Student Association in China (AZSIC), Arlena Waithanji from the Kenyan Student Association in Beijing (KENSAB), David Opoku Osei from the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), and Harivola Kantosoa Rabialahy from Beijing Technology and Business University(BTBU).
During the interactive session, the attending youth eagerly raised questions and engaged with the representatives on stage. The atmosphere was lively, and applause resounded throughout the venue.
Following the youth dialogue, Luo Jing from the Secretariat of the Silk Road Youth Forum shared her understanding of the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit, using the interaction between the Silk Road Youth Forum and Sierra Leone as an example. She passionately looked forward to the promising prospects for youth in building a China-Africa community with a shared future.
Finally, Ms. Dahlia A. Ducreay,delivered her concluding remarks and expressed her gratitude.She stated that the purpose of this lecture aimed to provide a platform for African youth in China to engage and share, thereby deepening their understanding of the China-Africa cooperation framework. She also thanked everyone for their active participation and support. Ms.Ducreay concluded her speech with an African proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together,” emphasizing the importance of unity and collective effort in advancing the vision of China-Africa cooperation.
