在过去的2020年，新冠肺炎疫情席卷全球，给世界经济带来严重冲击，中国与“一带一路”沿线国家携手前行，共建“一带一路”呈现出了抗冲击的巨大韧性、旺盛的生机活力和强大的感召力。至今为止取得的弥足珍贵的成果，再一次彰显了中国负责任大国的担当，向世界证明了只有守望相助、加强合作，才能真正实现共建人类命运共同体的理想。

有数据表明，中西医结合、中西药并用——在应对疫情时开出的中国药方，闪耀着中华传统文化的智慧和时代光辉。中医药参与救治我国新冠肺炎确诊病例的占比达 92%，湖北省确诊病例中医药使用率和总有效率超过 90%，截至 2020年7月，中医药已传播到全球183个国家和地区。中国与40多个外国政府、地区主管机构和国际组织签署中医药合作协议，支持在“一带一路”沿线国家和地区建设了30 个高质量中医药海外中心.

由中医药在抗击新冠疫情中彰显出的中国传统对当代的影响、焕发的生机，再来看中华文化，同样可以发现，中华文化在“一带一路”沿线源远流长，并对沿线国家和地区有着深远的影响。同时人们也可以看到，中华文化创造性转化、创新性发展中的文化精神、文化胸怀和文化自信，以及中华文化给新时代坚持和发展中国特色社会主义提供的精神支撑。

古丝绸之路上中国通向西域的重要门户——敦煌，就足以证明 “开放包容、互学互鉴、互利共赢”是中华文化几千年的固有传承。

在敦煌，我们可以看到，古代中国文明同来自古印度、古希腊、古波斯等不同地区的思想、宗教、艺术、文化的汇聚交融；可以看到，三大世界文化遗产——莫高窟、玉门关遗址、悬泉置遗址，两大自然奇观——鸣沙山月牙泉、以雅丹地貌为主体的中国敦煌世界地质公园，一门国际显学——敦煌学，已经成为当今敦煌亮丽的名片。

敦煌用其历史和现实的存在向世人表明，共建“一带一路”，加强文明对话，倡导“和平合作、开放包容、互学互鉴、互利共赢”的丝路精神，是历史的必然、现实的必然。

敦煌能有今日，就在于文化交流、交汇、交融始终鲜活地流淌在敦煌发展的血脉中。

要加强同“一带一路”沿线国家的合作交流，就必须要有“崇德向善、多元汇通、海纳百川”这一敦煌文化所具有的大气象和大胸怀，秉承“和平合作、开放包容、互学互鉴、互利共赢”的丝路精神，以充分的文化自信，在保持自己民族特色的同时，包容、借鉴、吸收各种不同文明，推动中华文化的世界表达，向世界讲好中国故事，增强中华文化在国际舞台上的话语权和影响力，让丝路精神再现新的辉煌。

In the past year of 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic swept the world and brought a serious impact to the world economy. China was moving forward hand in hand with countries along the  Belt and Road and the joint development of B&R has shown great resilience, intense vitality and strong appeal in resisting shocks. What has been achieved so far is precious, demonstrating once again China's due responsibility of major country. It has proved to the world that only through reaching out to each other and strengthening international cooperation can we truly realize the ideal of building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Statistics show that the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and the combination of Chinese and Western medicine -- the Chinese prescription in response to the Pandemic -- shines with the wisdom of traditional Chinese culture and the glory of the times. Traditional Chinese medicines have been involved in the treatment of 92% of confirmed cases of COVID-19, and the utilization rate and total effective rate of TCM in confirmed cases in Hubei Province is more than 90%. As of July 2020, TCM had spread to 183 countries and regions. China has signed TCM cooperation agreements with more than 40 foreign governments, regional authorities and international organizations and supported the establishment of 30 high-quality TCM overseas centers in countries and regions along the Belt and Road.

Traditional Chinese medicine demonstrates the influence and vigor of Chinese tradition on the contemporary era in the fight against the Pandemic. If we look at the traditional Chinese culture, we can also find that Chinese culture has a long history along the Belt and Road and has far-reaching influence on the countries and regions along these routes. At the same time, people can see the cultural spirit, cultural mind and cultural confidence in the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese national culture, and the spiritual support that Chinese traditional culture has provided for upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era.

Dunhuang, an important gateway to the Western Regions on the ancient Silk Road, is enough to prove that Openness, Inclusiveness, Mutual Learning and Mutual Benefit have been an inherent heritage of the Chinese culture for thousands of years.

In Dunhuang, we can see the convergence and integration of ancient Chinese civilization with ideas, religions, arts and cultures from ancient India, ancient Greece, ancient Persia and other regions. And we can see that the three major world cultural heritages -- Mogao Grottoes, Yumenguan Ruins, Xuanquanzhi Ruins, two natural wonders -- the Crescent Moon Spring in Mingsha and the Dunhuang World Geopark in China with Yadan landform as the main body. Tunhuangology, an internationally renowned study, has become a beautiful name card of Dunhuang today.

Dunhuang, with its historic and realistic existence, demonstrates to the world that the Silk Road spirit of "peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning, mutual benefit and win-win" is a historical and realistic necessity to jointly build the Belt and Road, and enhance dialogue among civilizations.

Dunhuang can survive today because cultural exchange, convergence and integration have always been flowed in the blood of Dunhuang's development.

In order to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with countries along the route, we must abide by the grand vision and broad mind of the Dunhuang culture of being Morality-, Pluralism-& Inclusiveness-Oriented, adhere to the Silk Road spirit of Openness, Inclusiveness, Mutual Learning and Mutual Benefit, enhance the discourse power and influence of Chinese culture on the international stage, and let the spirit of Silk Road reappear in new glory.
