My name is Eva Sara Molaro from Italy. I have lived and worked in China for the past 16 years. I have formed a Chinese family with my Chinese husband, our children, and our beautiful cat. For many years, I have been engaged in education, research, management, and consulting. In China, my career development has allowed me to realize many of my childhood dreams. I am very grateful for the opportunities China continues to offer international residents.

我叫爱娃·萨拉·莫拉罗，来自意大利。我在中国已经生活和工作了16年。我与我的中国丈夫、我们的孩子和一只漂亮的猫咪组成了一个中国式的家庭。多年来，我从事教育、研究、管理和咨询工作。在中国，我的职业发展让我实现了童年的许多梦想。我非常感谢中国继续为国际居民提供的机会。

China welcomes young international graduates and treats them with a "trust-first" attitude while selecting high-quality talents through appropriate processes. I believe the open way China offers opportunities to young international professionals is conducive to creating a more confident and hopeful pool of international talent that can envision a long-term career within the country.

I deeply feel that Chinese people are amiable and open to dialogue and I have found it easy to form acquaintances and seek assistance wherever I have been in China. As a wife to a Chinese citizen, I have often noticed many similarities in how my husband and I tackle the same situations and when we differ in our approaches and it is always interesting to explore our dissimilarities and where they originate.

我深切地感受到，中国人民是友好的，愿意对话。在中国的任何地方，我都发现结交朋友和寻求帮助很容易。作为一名中国公民的妻子，我经常注意到我丈夫和我在处理相同情况时的不同之处和相似之处。探索我们的不同之处以及它们的起源总是很有趣的。

Indeed, I have been fascinated by cultures different from mine since childhood. I have loved trying to understand and observe various aspects of life from other people's perspectives. As a young girl, I felt it was a necessary and enriching experience for me. Growing up in a small village in Italy, I didn't have many opportunities to meet people from "faraway lands," but I was curious and tried to make the best of all opportunities. I would read and learn about other countries' history, artifacts, legends, and cultural aspects to form a complete idea of what the world was like and engage in dialogue with people from other countries. Later, I studied Chinese and Eastern Asian languages and cultures at university. My extended family also became multicultural, with new members joining in and bringing their own precious intangible cultural patrimony of habits, ideas, and points of view.

的确，从小我就被不同的文化所吸引。我喜欢尝试从别人的角度去理解和看待生活的各个方面，作为一个年轻女人，我觉得这是一个必要的知识和经验。我在意大利的一个小村庄长大，没有太多机会遇到来自“遥远国度”的人，但我很好奇，并试图充分利用所有机会。当时我会阅读并了解其他国家的历史、文物、传说和文化方面的知识，以形成一个完整的世界观，并与其他国家的人进行交流。后来，我在大学里学习了汉语和东亚语言与文化。我的大家庭文化也变得更加多元，新成员加入也带来了他们自己宝贵的非物质文化遗产——习惯、思想和观点。

Throughout my studies at university, my interest in Asian culture steadily grew. This interest prompted me to explore China with my father in 2004. I was intrigued by what life could be in this vast foreign country at the time, especially as it related to where my studies would eventually lead me in the future. After traveling to many cities, seeing some of the many artistic and cultural treasures of the country, especially witnessing Chinese women in all sorts of jobs, compared to Italy, where top management positions are often dominated by men, I became convinced that China was the right place for a young woman like me to develop in the future. I felt China was fertile ground for the professional aspirations of a young woman, and this filled me with confidence.

在大学学习期间，我对亚洲文化的兴趣逐渐增长。这种兴趣促使我在2004年与我父亲一起来中国旅游。我对在这个广阔的异国他乡的生活充满了好奇，尤其是它与我的学业最终将引领我的未来有关。在游历了很多城市之后，我看到了这个国家的许多艺术和文化瑰宝，特别是看到了中国女性在各种工作中的身影。与意大利相比，在高层管理职位上，通常由男性主导的角色，我确信中国是像我这样的年轻女性未来发展的正确地方。我觉得中国是年轻女性实现职业抱负的沃土，这让我充满信心。

I returned to China relatively soon during the summer of 2007, choosing Beijing to pursue my studies. Since then, I have felt entirely at home in Chinese society. From the beginning, I could see many commonalities between my culture and China. Italian and Chinese people both value family ties, good food, music, unity, assertiveness, mutual support, and seeking common interests that form a great bond. Additionally, the people of these two countries share a deep love for culture and nature, a typical trait among countries with very ancient roots.

2007年夏天，我很快回到了中国，选择了北京继续我的学业。从那时起，我在中国社会就像在家里一样。从一开始，我就能看到我们的文化和中国之间的许多共同点。意大利人和中国人都很重视家庭,美食、音乐、团结、自信、相互支持和寻求共同利益成为了很好的纽带。此外，两国的人民都热爱文化和自然，这是两个文化源远流长的国家的典型特征。

The official diplomatic relations between Italy and China were established in 1970, celebrating 52 years of official diplomatic ties in 2022. Holding the "China-Italy Culture and Tourism Year" is an important consensus reached between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Italian President Mattarella during his state visit to Italy in 2019. Exchanges promote people-to-people bonds and lay a more solid public opinion foundation for the further development of China-Italy's comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era.

意大利和中国于1970年建立正式外交关系，2022年庆祝两国正式建交52周年。举办“中国意大利文化和旅游年”是中国国家主席习近平2019年对意大利进行国事访问期间与意大利总统马塔雷拉达成的重要共识，旨在加强两国文化交流互鉴、推动互利合作、密切人员往来、促进民心相通，并为新时代中意全面战略伙伴关系进一步发展奠定更加坚实的民意基础。

As a young international expat in China, I always felt a deep sense of responsibility to uphold good ethical values and to contribute to Chinese society positively. I endeavored to do this through cultural activities and education, which has been the main field of my career. I will continue to strive to contribute more and provide more value to this society I now call home, whether through research, writing, or just by being an excellent mother to the future generation of Chinese youth.

作为一个在中国的外籍青年，我一直有一种强烈的责任感，要维护良好的道德价值观，积极地为中国社会做贡献。我通过文化活动和教育努力做到这一点，文化和教育一直是我职业生涯的主要领域。我将继续努力为这个我现在称之为家的社会做出更多贡献和提供更多的价值，无论是通过研究、写作，还是做好未来一代中国青年的优秀母亲。

I think young people have an essential role in shaping their lives and careers and creating a peaceful and prosperous future where trust-based, mutually beneficial connections are formed between people, institutions, and countries. To enable the youth to realize their destinies, parents, and educators, as well as institutions, play a crucial role in forming, guiding, and supporting the development of young minds. With a strong sense of mission, we provide valuable experience and methods to many families and students, giving them the necessary motivation. Be willing to do more every day to help anyone in need, especially young people with potential, thereby benefiting themselves and those around them.

我认为年轻人在创造一个和平繁荣的未来方面起着不可替代的作用，他们为世界的美好，为国家之间增强信任和友好联系,为了让青年实现自己的理想，以及在如何做好父母、形成良好的教育机制、引导和支持青年创新思想发展等方面发挥着至关重要的作用。我们带着强烈使命感给许多家庭和学生提供宝贵经验和和方法，给他们必要的激励。每天都愿意做更多的事情，帮助任何需要帮助的人，尤其是那些有潜力的年轻人，从而使他们自己和他们周围的人受益。

My 16 years in China have taught me that despite any cultural differences that may exist among people, we are all connected in our humanity, and all our paths lead toward a shared future. This is why, regardless of what our environment or status in life may be, we all need to think, speak and act for the common good, building a harmonious atmosphere of love, respect, and trust.

我在中国16年的经历让我明白，尽管人与人之间可能存在文化差异，但我们的人性是相通的，所有的道路都通向共同的未来。这就是为什么，无论我们的生活环境或地位如何，我们都需要为了共同的利益而思考、说话和行动，建立爱、尊重和信任的和谐氛围。
