20 plus years in love with China

I have lived in China for over two decades, first arriving in China in May 2000, where I first visited the beautiful province of Harbin, as Harbin is very close to the Far East of Russia, where my hometown Khabarovsk is located. I returned to Beijing, China, in September 2000 to study Chinese Law at the China University of Political Science and Law. That same year I met my husband, who was instrumental in introducing me to the Chinese culture and the many wonders of this beautiful nation.

我在中国已经生活了20多年。2000年5月第一次来到到中国，我先是去了美丽的哈尔滨，因为哈尔滨离我的家乡哈巴罗夫斯克所在的俄罗斯远东地区很近。2000年9月来到北京，在中国政法大学学习中国法律。同年，我遇到了我现在的丈夫，他帮助我了解了中国文化和这个美丽国家的许多奇迹。

Over the past two decades, I have witnessed the growing friendly relationship between my country, Russia and China. This relationship could be attributed to the border these two major neighboring countries share, as their mutual development has historically been linked. After the final demarcation in the early 2000s, it measures 4,209.3 kilometers (2,615.5 mi) and is the world's sixth-longest international border. The China–Russian border consists of two non-contiguous sections: the long eastern section between Mongolia and North Korea and the much shorter western section between Kazakhstan and Mongolia.

在过去的20多年里，我见证了我的国家和中国之间不断发展的友好关系。这种关系在很大程度上归因于这两个大国的共同边界，漫长的边界把两国紧紧地联系在一起。经过2000年代初的最后划界，它的长度为4209.3公里（2615.5英里），是世界上第六长的国际边界。中俄边界由两个不连续的部分组成：蒙古和朝鲜之间的长东段，哈萨克斯坦和蒙古之间的短得多的西段。

Many Russians and Chinese living close to the border frequently conduct weekend visits to enjoy each other's cultures and promote development. Manzhouli is a prime example of Sino-Russian relations, where citizens and businesses thrive in one economic hub. In addition to the construction of the Blagoveshchensk-Heihe Bridge located in northern China, which connects China and Russia via the Amur River. This bridge plays a vital role in international trade between these two regions, facilitating quick and easy access across the borders for businesses and travelers.

许多居住在边境附近的俄罗斯人和中国人经常在周末互相访问，欣赏彼此的文化，促进发展。满洲里是中俄关系的典型例子，在这里，公民和企业在一个经济中心蓬勃发展。此外，位于中国北部的布拉戈维申斯克－黑河大桥的建设，通过阿穆尔河连接中国和俄罗斯。这座桥在这两个地区之间的国际贸易中发挥着至关重要的作用，为企业和旅客跨境提供快捷的便利。

The relationship between China and Russia can be seen as a good example of the peaceful coexistence of the two major neighboring countries. This peaceful, fruitful coexistence encouraged many other Russian students and me to choose China as our premier country to study abroad. The bond between our two countries is so strong that both countries enjoy a high volume of international exchange students willing to learn the languages of our respective countries. I especially fell in love with the culture and people due to our similar values.

Youth continue to play a vital role in sustaining Sino-Russian partnerships across Russia and China. This is why both countries partner heavily with their respective education institutes to ensure their respective human capital is equipped with the most up-to-date information relevant to their rapid growth.

中国和俄罗斯的关系可以被视为两个主要邻国和平共处的一个很好的例子。这种和平、富有成果的共处鼓励了我和许多其他俄罗斯学生选择中国作为我们出国留学的首选国家。我们两国之间的联系非常紧密，两国都有大量愿意学习各自国家语言的国际交换生。因为我们相似的价值观，我特别喜欢上了这里的文化和人民。

青年在维护中俄两国的伙伴关系方面继续发挥着至关重要的作用。这就是为什么两国大力与各自的教育机构合作，以确保各自的人力资本配备了与其快速增长相关的最新信息。

I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to acquire a deep understanding of China, and I have taken my love for this country to an even deeper level; my own loving family is proof of that love. My husband is a native Chinese-born citizen and operates many different businesses, primarily in trade across China. His hard work continues to teach me how important creating a sustainable environment for all people plays a vital role for the next generation. Like my husband, I have experience running a small business in China and Russia. I also operated as a legal consultant for Russian businesses interested in coming to China. My most recent venture is showcasing luxurious goods from Russia to Beijing's Chinese and international markets. Doing business in China has become more convenient over the past 20 years. With the introduction of the Belt and Road initiative, I am hopeful for more opportunities to expand my business and my husband's. The continued incentives from the local government promote a business-friendly environment for progress for both Chinese and International residents.

我很幸运我有机会深入了解中国，我对这个国家的爱已经达到了很深的层次，我温暖的家庭就是证明。我的丈夫是土生土长的中国公民，经营着许多不同的业务，主要是在中国各地的贸易。他的辛勤工作继续教会我，为所有人创造一个可持续的环境对下一代很重要。我和我的的丈夫一样有着在中国和俄罗斯经营小企业的经验，我也曾经在那里为有兴趣来中国的俄罗斯企业担任法律顾问。我最近的一次创业是在北京向中国和国际市场展示俄罗斯的奢侈品。20多年来，在中国做生意变得更加方便。随着“一带一路”倡议的实施，我希望有更多的机会来扩大我和我丈夫的业务。当地政府持续推出的措施为中国和国际居民创造了一个有利于发展的商业环境。

I have immensely enjoyed building a life and family in Beijing because of how integral the people here have aided my development. My experience in China has taught me the Chinese culture and spirit of goodwill, righteousness, and mutual love. With the development of the Belt and Road initiative, I look forward to more people worldwide getting to know China and its people on a deeper level.

我非常喜欢在北京建立的生活和家庭，因为这里的人民对我的发展给予了特别重要的帮助。我在中国的经历教会了我仁义互爱的中国文化和人文精神。随着““一带一路”倡议的发展，我期待着世界上更多的人更深入地了解中国和中国人民。

I look forward to experiencing an even more amazing life in China.
