At the recently concluded Fifth China-Arab States Expo held in Ningxia, China, statistics show that more than 10 million online visitors and professional buyers visited China for negotiations and procurement. There were 277 cooperation agreements between China and Arab countries, with planned investment and trade totaling 156.67 billion yuan. There are 199 investment projects with an investment of 153.92 billion yuan. There were 24 trade projects, worth 2.75 billion yuan, covering electronic information, clean energy, new materials, green food, production capacity cooperation and other fields. We issued policy reports and signed 54 memorandum of understanding agreements.

As the fifth China-Arab States Expo held online for the first time, it will make full use of digital conferences and exhibitions to build a more convenient and efficient platform for economic and trade cooperation. With the expectation of high-quality development of the Belt and Road initiative in mind and based on the needs of the country, it will build the China-Arab States Expo into an important platform for higher-level opening-up. With the goal of promoting comprehensive cooperation, common development and future-oriented China-Arab strategic partnership, fruitful results have been achieved.

Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Zhejiang, Hubei, Henan, Guangdong and Shaanxi alone signed 12 investment projects with Arab countries and other countries and regions along the belt and Road through the expo platform, with a total investment of 7.43 billion yuan. Ningxia, the host of the China-Arab States Expo, has further integrated into and served the Belt and Road Initiative, expanding new space. At the China-Arab States Expo, ningxia signed 154 cooperation projects in the "nine key industries" with a total investment of 127.68 billion yuan, accounting for 55.6% of the total number of cooperation projects and 81.5% of the total investment.

China has become the largest trading partner of Arab countries. By the end of 2020, china-Arab trade reached us $239.8 billion. Among them, China's exports to Arab countries reached us $123.1 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 2.2% despite the impact of COVID-19. In the first half of 2021, bilateral trade reached us $144.27 billion, up 25.7 percent year on year.
