地球是人类赖以生存的家园，可持续发展关乎我们共同的未来。2020年9月22日，习近平主席在第75届联合国大会上宣布了中国二氧化碳排放力争于2030年前达到峰值、努力争取2060年前实现碳中和的战略目标，这是中国应对气候变化、为世界人民健康福祉和人类社会可持续发展作出的庄严承诺。广大丝路青年肩负共建“一带一路”高质量发展、构建“一带一路”命运共同体的先锋队责任，在落实“双碳”目标、践行绿色生产生活方式的征途上责无旁贷。为此，我们向广大丝路青年发出倡议：

The earth is the home where mankind depends for survival and where sustainable development affects our common future. On September 22, 2020, at the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, President Xi Jinping announced the strategic goal of peaking China's carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. This is a solemn pledge China has made to address climate change, the health and well-being of people worldwide, and the sustainable development of human society. Silk Road youth shoulder the leading responsibility of jointly building high-quality development of the Belt and Road and building a community with a shared future. They are duty-bound to fulfill the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals and practice green production and lifestyle. To this end, we propose to all Silk Road youth:

一、做习近平生态文明思想的宣传员

实现碳达峰碳中和，是贯彻新发展理念、构建新发展格局、推动高质量发展的内在要求，是中国作为最大的发展中国家对人类文明作出的伟大贡献。让我们通过多种方式积极宣传、坚决贯彻习近平生态文明思想和绿色发展理念，积极参与和引领全球气候治理，促进形成更加广泛的绿色低碳共识，让习近平生态文明思想惠及全球，为人类社会可持续发展指明方向。

Be a messenger for President Xi Jinping's ecological civilization ideology

To peak carbon emissions and achieve carbon neutrality is essential for implementing the new vision of development, building a new development landscape, and promoting high-quality development. It is a significant contribution of China, as the largest developing country, has made to human civilization. Let us actively publicize and resolutely implement President Xi Jinping's ecological civilization and green development ideology. Through various means, actively participate in and lead global climate governance, promote a broader green and low-carbon consensus, and bring President Xi Jinping's thinking on ecological civilization to the benefit of the world while charting the course for sustainable development of human society.

二、做碳达峰碳中和的生力军

实现碳达峰碳中和目标是一场广泛而深刻的变革，不是轻轻松松就能实现的。丝路青年在各个不同的岗位学习和工作，都有为绿色发展贡献力量的可能和条件。让我们积极参与绿色转型和低碳发展的科研、生产和社会活动，创新“绿色技术”，打造“绿色产品”，传递“绿色能量”，塑造“绿色品牌”，推动构建以绿色低碳为特征的产业体系，把青春的磅礴之力转化为推动碳达峰碳中和的重要引擎。

Be a new force for carbon peak and carbon neutrality

Achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality are  broad and profound changes that will not be achieved easily. Silk Road youth study and work in different positions and have the possibility and conditions to contribute to green development. Let us actively participate in scientific research, production, and social activities for green transformation and low-carbon development, innovate "green technologies," create "green products," transmit "green energy," shape "green brands," promote the construction of an industrial system characterized by green and low carbon and turn the unique strength of the youth into a vital engine to promote carbon peak and carbon neutrality. 

三、做绿色低碳生活的践行者

实现碳达峰碳中和目标，是满足人民群众日益增长的优美生态环境需求、促进人与自然和谐共生的迫切需要。让我们积极引领绿色生活方式和消费方式，践行高效、共享、循环、可持续的生活理念，从少开车、少用一次性产品、调高空调温度、使用节能产品和清洁能源、随手关灯、实行无纸化办公等一点一滴的小事做起，推动简约适度节能低碳的生活与工作方式成为“一带一路”沿线国家时代风尚，用绿色发展理念擦亮美好生活新底色。

Be a practitioner of green and low-carbon life 

To achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality are an urgent need to meet people's growing demand for a beautiful ecological environment and promote harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Let us actively lead green lifestyles and consumption patterns and practice the concept of efficient, shared, circular and sustainable life. We can start with small things such as less driving, fewer disposable products, higher air conditioning temperature, using energy-saving products and clean energy, turning off lights at will, and implementing a paperless office, and promote a simple, moderate, energy-saving, and low-carbon lifestyle and work style; becoming the trend of the times in countries along with "the Belt and Road," refining a new foundation of a better life with the concept of green development.

四、做能源安全的守护人

碳达峰碳中和必须建立在能源安全的基础之上。让我们大力实施节能减排，坚持降碳、减污、扩绿、增效协同推进，控制化石能源消费，持续壮大绿色低碳产业，整合低碳零碳负碳技术，聚焦风光氢和生物能等新能源突破前沿技术，用创新的行动和青春的智慧守护好“一带一路”沿线国家的蓝天、碧水、净土。

世界在百年变局中发展，社会在应对挑战中前进。时代在变，青春责任不变。保护地球就是守护未来的希望，让我们积极行动起来，让人生在落实“双碳”行动、共建美丽家园的奋进中展现出勇敢奔跑的英姿和时代风采，让“一带一路”成为绿色之路、低碳之路、可持续发展之路。

Be the guardian of energy security.

Carbon peak and carbon neutrality must be based on energy security. Let us vigorously implement energy conservation and emission reduction, adhere to the joint promotion of carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, and efficiency enhancement, control fossil energy consumption, continue to expand green and low-carbon industries, integrate low-carbon, zero carbon, and negative carbon technologies, focus on new energy such as solar hydrogen and bioenergy, breakthrough cutting-edge technologies, and guard the blue sky, clear water and pure land of countries along "the Belt and Road" with innovative actions and youthful wisdom.

The world has developed in a century of changes, and society is advancing in meeting challenges. Times are changing, and the responsibility of youth remains unchanged. Protecting the earth is the hope of guarding the future. Let's take action to show our bravery and characteristics in the implementation of carbon peak and carbon neutrality initiative and the joint construction of a beautiful home and make "the Belt and Road" a green, low-carbon, and sustainable development road.
